Here, everyone is welcome. As a queer stylist and a member of the Safe Space Alliance, creating a place that feels calm, safe, and affirming isn’t just important to me, it’s personal.
It’s important to me to foster a sensory-friendly space, created with neurodivergent folks in mind. I’ve completed training through The Sensory Safe Salon and plan to keep learning so I can continue to meet people where they’re at. Judgment has no place here.
If there’s anything that would make your appointment feel better, less overwhelming, more supportive, you’re always welcome to let me know. You’re never expected to mask or explain.

I specialize in soft, lived-in color that grows out easy and still looks amazing months later. Every formula is custom, nothing cookie-cutter! Whether you’re a low-maintenance blonde or a brunette who loves dimension, I’ll make sure your hair feels just like “you.”
When I’m not behind the chair, I’m probably thrifting, at a concert, or chilling with my cats and a good podcast.
We keep things light in here. Music, memes, drama, whatever’s on your mind. No pressure. Just good vibes and even better hair.

Usually, going to a hairdresser can cause anxiety, but Emersyn is so personable and wants to make your appointment as fun and chill as possible! Also...SHE'S FABULOUS AT DOING HAIR! I was feeling really insecure about my hair before coming to her appointment but after my appointment, I felt so much more confident about my hair. I have been going to Emersyn since before she opened August Studio. Boy am I glad she did because her skills have blossomed even more, which I didn’t think was possible because she was already so talented. She curates the experience to make you comfortable and dedicates her own time to continuous learning so that she can continue to excel in her work. Although I no longer live in Florida, I still travel back home to get my hair done because no one I’ve found matches Emersyn’s talent!
